This type of knee replacement involves using robotic technology to execute parts of the surgery.
The robotic arm helps with removing the
damaged cartilage and bone from the end of the thigh bone and the top of the shin bone.
The joint is replaced with metal and plastic components, recreating a new knee.
Before surgery, a CT scan is required to develop a 3D model of your joint – this allows the software to work out the best components for your new knee.
